CY 2023-2025 Municipal Nutrition Action Plan of LGU Tangalan

The CY 2023-2025 Municipal Nutrition Action Plan of LGU Tangalan was successfully crafted and adopted today by the Municipal Nutrition Council with the able leadership of Mayor Gary Fuentes as Chairperson and with the facilitation of Dr. Sarah Marie Suajico-Huyong, MHO and MNAO-designate in partnership with DILG Tangalan.

Mayor Fuentes acknowledged that malnutrition is a perennial issue and underscored the need for interagency collaboration and unified effort to lower the rate of prevalence which he said, begins with a participatory plan.

Dr. Huyong introduced the members of the MNC and presented the municipal nutrition situation.

MLGOO Ronz Rogan spearheaded the workshops which started of with the problem tree analysis, then problem-solution matrix anchored on prevailing data, goal and objective setting, determining interventions and budgeting and programming and finally, adoption of the plan.

Certificates of participation were given to the participants, resource person and the secretariat. In her closing remarks, Hon. Edina Gelito, SB Chair on Health and Nutrition expressed her thanks and continued support of the legislative body to the program.
