Peer Educators Training

In response to the alarming rates of teenage pregnancy, mental health problems, and substance use among teenagers globally, the Municipality of Tangalan with the active leadership of Mayor Gary Fuentes, through the support of the Commission on Population and Development – Region VI and in partnership with the Aklan Provincial Population and Gender Office, conducted the Peer Educators Training which aims to capacitate the identified adolescents to be the Peer Educators in their respective barangays.

Dahil mabahoe ro impluwensya sa mga teenagers it “peers” o kapareho man nanda nga teens, ro presensya it mga trained Peer Educators sa kada barangay hay isaea ka Health Promotion Strategy it aton nga banwa para sa adolescents. Sanda ra hay makabulig nga magtao it Adolescent Health and Development classes, counselling, ag suporta nga pwede makapabatyag sa mga kapareho nanda nga teens it mayad nga impluwensya, guidance, acceptance, ag sense of belonging.

Paagi sa rayang training ag sa aton nga certified Adolescent Friendly Health Facility, ginapanan-aw nga masabat ro teenage pregnancy, mental health problems, ag iba pa nga mga health concerns it aton nga mga kabatan-on iya sa aton nga banwa.
